We can chemically temper your glass or our glass can be strengthened for safety and durability to 31,000 psi without distorting its shape or clarity. We can also chemically temper labware or flat glass.
Chemical strengthening (also known as tempering) of annealed glass containing sodium increases its thermal and structural strength, without affecting optical properties. It is particularly useful with thinner glass, as it does not warp the material as heat tempering will. The method is an ion interchange, with a potassium ion replacing a surface sodium ion.
